Interface for advanced SystemDescriptors that constrain the type of returned InputDescriptors to their own StreamExpander function result types.

getInputDescriptor

InputDescriptor<StreamExpanderType,? extends InputDescriptor> getInputDescriptor(java.lang.String streamId,
                                                                                 Serde serde)

Gets a InputDescriptor for an input stream on this system. The stream has the provided stream level serde, and the default system level StreamExpander

The type of messages in the stream is the type of messages returned by the default system level StreamExpander

Parameters:

streamId - id of the input stream

serde - stream level serde to be propagated to expanded input streams

Returns:

an InputDescriptor for the input stream
